After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans many lost animals scattered about the city, anything from dogs to cats, even horses. But this story is of one minature horse in particular, and her name is Molly.

Molly was very scared not to mention HUNGRY!! Disaster struck when a very large abandon pit bull took it’s rage out on poor Molly, she was barely bigger than the dog herself! The vicious dog destroyed Molly’s front leg so bad that all the tendends and arteries were severed, the rest of her lower leg. The canon bone was also destroyed!! Suffering Molly lay there waiting for help.

When help arrived Molly was rushed to a local veterinarian clinic where she would have risky surgery but that tough little pony fought and fought until she had won the battle!! But now Molly wears an artificial leg and for the other leg, it was harshly damaged but Molly is still as happy as can be!! (except for when she sees a dog!)
