Take a Look at Travel @ The Meaford Library
Wednesday, February 25, 2009 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Location: Meaford Public Library Board Room
Join us this winter for travel talks, discussions, guest speaker presentations, and author talks. An opportunity to share your travel experiences and read some fun books that feature a travel theme.
All Aboard! Our Schedule of Travel Sessions:
Wednesday, February 4, 2009 – Guest Speakers are Susan & Brian Adamson who will give tips on trip planning, helpful websites in planning your trip, a short visual presentation on their travels in Europe from Winter 2008, with highlights of the Meaford Library travel collection.
Session 2 – February 11, 2009 – Guest Speakers are Will and Marg Overton who will give a visual presentation on New Zealand including helpful websites on planning a trip to this country and key information on planning your trip.
Session 3 – February 18, 2009 – Guest Speakers are Marge and Dave Allin who will do a visual presentation on Cambodia, Vietnam, and Bangkok.
Session 4 – February 25, 2009 – Guest Speaker is Ken Haigh. Author of the book “Under the Holy Lake, A Memoir of Eastern Bhutan”.
Sessions are on February 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2009 from 1 pm to 2:30 pm in the Meaford Library Board Room.

The Library can help you!
We offer photocopy and FAX services, public computer access, wireless computer access, rental of our laptop/projector and rental services of our boardroom. We have daily newspapers and magazines for your reading enjoyment and loan free of charge a great selection of DVD and VCR tapes. We also have an in-house microfilm reader and a genealogy room for quiet research. Our staff is always ready to assist you with these services. There is a charge for services where applicable.
