As the house lights dim and the music swells, the audience is certain of one thing – this is not a typical dance performance. The 85 minute spectacle challenges all stereotypes associated with Irish dance. Far from traditional, Irish Fire is a show that can easily be compared to such contemporary hits as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. Created by Devin Cornell, Irish Fire was choreographed by both Devin and the dancers of Celtic Fury. The show features not only the talent of Celtic Fury, but also the breathtaking vocal talent of Meghan Kilbride. The gentle grace of the soft shoe, the heart-pounding percussion of the hard shoe and the haunting vocal performances come together in a perfect blend of theatrical beauty. The result is a stunning work of art that lives forever in the memories of all those who experience it.
