Calling all entrepreneurs! The Meaford & District Chamber of Commerce will hold a competition event for aspiring entrepreneurs who are committed to doing business within the Municipality of Meaford.
“Dragon’s Den Meaford” will take place in the Opera House at Meaford Hall on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Modeled after the popular CBC television program, “Dragon’s Den”, participants will pitch their idea to a panel of five Dragons. Each Dragon will invest a minimum of $1,000 to the projects they think have the most promise.
The Chamber believes this is a great business story for Meaford. Business ideas presented will be required to follow one of the four pillars of the Municipality’s Economic Development Strategy…. Retail, Tourism, Green or Agribusiness. The qualifying criteria will be announced and designated Dragons personally introduced at a Press Conference in the upstairs Galleries at Meaford Hall on Wednesday, July 22nd at 11am. All members of the media are invited.
