We are not a travel agent nor a booking company, we are a company comprised of a number of dedicated African travel experts. We have over fifty years of experience combined and have trapsed all over Africa in many different forms, motorcycles, airplanes, bicycles and overland trucks to mention a few. We have camped in the middle of the desert and have stayed in five star lodges, bareboat sailed and scuba dived, escorted only one couple and have travelled with twenty. In fact we have done pretty much anything you may want to do while in Africa
We believe that the trip is about you the client. Our goals are to tailor your trip, base it on what you would most like to do and fulfill your every dream. We will discuss your needs, help design your trip and pair you with the most suitable guides, booking agents and ground handlers.

After spending most of my childhood in Africa and now living in New York City I wanted to return with my traveling companion who had accompanied me to China, Peru the Galapagos and the Amazon. She had always wanted to see the animal in their natural habitat. I suggested that we take in other sights and places of interest that makes up Africa including Cape Town and the South African wine district. Gary of Shumba Tracks customized a tour that would fit all our needs and suggested traveling to Namibia, a place I had not visited.
When I told a friend who lives in Durban South Africa of the trip she elected to join us for the Namibian section. All in all there were five women in our group guided by Gary.Our trip exceeded my expectations and Gary proved to be very knowledgeable and with such a small group we had personal attention. Due to unseasonable rains in the Northern part of Namibia which washed out the roads we were unable to complete that section. Gary was well connected and brought this matter to the group and made great suggestions to an alternate last four days.
We would certainly enjoy traveling with Gary again perhaps to East Africa and Uganda to see the Gorillas.
