2010 is a summer of sequels in Meaford!  The Grey-Bruce Arts Collective in association with the Meaford Hall & Culture Foundation have teamed up once again to present MY Film Studio: Season Two and the new MY Drama Studio.

“The overwhelming success with last summer’s MY Film Studio was incredible, and we are all looking forward to Season Two.  Participants will see some familiar faces and some new ones during the two-week program as we help guide their personal and original film creations with industry-standard equipment. says Roger Shank, Artistic Director of the Grey-Bruce Arts Collective.

New this summer is MY Drama Studio, an exciting two-week program for youth interested in stage acting, directing, design and backstage craft.  Much like MY Film Studio, the sessions will be guided by respected industry professionals centred on adapting and producing the Canadian drama classic The Farm Show.  “Participants will attend the program at the extraordinary facility of the Meaford Hall Arts & Cultural Centre and breathe life into a play that changed the way we do Canadian theatre,” says Shank.

The Farm Show will be performed for the public at 8 pm on July 23rd. The Meaford International Film Festival will screen MY Film Studio’s creations this September.  Don’t miss our budding local talent!

Both programs are geared towards youth from 13 to 18 years of age.  MY Drama Studio runs Monday through Friday, July 12th to 23rd from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  MY Film Studio runs August 9th to 20th during the same times.  Brochures can be picked up at the Meaford Hall Arts & Cultural Centre or downloaded from www.greybruceartscollective.com.
