Municipality of Meaford Volunteer Appreciation BBQ

The Municipality of Meaford invites all volunteers to attend the annual Volunteer Appreciation Day being held on Thursday, August 19, 2010, 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Rotary Pavilion located at the Meaford Harbour.
Anyone who volunteers in any capacity, with any group or organization serving the community of the Municipality of Meaford is invited to attend this Meet & Greet/Come & Go BBQ being held in their honor. There will be plenty of food, refreshments and made to order apple fritters! Council and Staff will be acknowledging all volunteers for their generous contributions and dedication to our beautiful Community.
Last year, 224 volunteers and approximately 50 Municipal representatives, staff and guests enjoyed a great afternoon of camaraderie with their peers at the beautiful Meaford harbour! These volunteers give their time and efforts to various areas such as national registered charities, local tourism projects, local caring and other organizations, churches, and sports. Every volunteer is welcome to attend.
We would ask that Volunteers wishing to attend please RSVP by August 9, 2010. Please include your name and volunteering organization(s).
Organizations using volunteers within the Municipality of Meaford are also welcome to participate in this event. Please contact Deb VanLanduyt.
Businesses are invited to sponsor this event by any means they wish, including but not limited to food, decorations, entertainment to help make this a special day for our very deserving Volunteers.
